About the 40th Assembly District Committee

What is a Central Committee?

This District Central Committee is the official governing body of the Republican Party for the portion of Los Angeles County within California's 40th Assembly District and is part of the Los Angeles County Republican Party (LAGOP). Members are elected by Republican voters or appointed to fill vacancies. They help recruit and support candidates, organize grassroots efforts, register voters, raise funds, endorse candidates, and represent Republican values throughout the district. Serving on the Central Committee is one of the most direct ways to shape the future of the Republican Party at the local level.

Our District

California’s 40th State Assembly District is in the northern part of Los Angeles County and spans from Santa Clarita Valley through Granada Hills and surrounding neighborhoods in the northern San Fernando Valley. According to the 2020 U.S. Census, the district is home to approximately 517,085 residents and around 349,018 citizens of voting age
